Justin Helmer · records as Excavationpro · no label

The name on the door for the music, the lyrics, and the live rooms.

I write and record as Justin Helmer. The catalog goes out as Excavationpro, and longer creative work also uses Lightfather. This domain is the name portal: a free player, a lyric vault, the press facts, the store links, and the live rooms, all reachable from one page. Listening costs nothing and never needs an account. What you may do with the files is written plainly in the Terms, and the masters stay mine.

Who I am

I am Justin Helmer. Listeners know the records as Excavationpro. Longer creative work also uses Lightfather. I make experimental hip-hop and electronic texture on my own time, without a label telling me what a song is allowed to be. The streams are free to hear. The masters stay mine.

If you came from a store badge, a live room, or a search for the person behind the catalog, you are in the right place. Stay long enough to pick a door: play, read, or walk the rest of the lattice.

What you will find here

Most artist sites in 2026 are a photo, three streaming badges, and a mailing list. I built justinhelmer.ca as an index you can actually use: a player that starts without an account, a lyric vault with a search box, a press page with real bios, and the store links in one place. Every page behind this one was written for this domain. Nothing here is a scraped roundup, and no page here exists only to hold an ad.

The deal is simple. You can listen, and you can read the words. You can share an official link with anyone. You cannot sell the tracks, rebrand them as a beat pack, upload them as your own, or pretend you wrote them. I keep the masters. Hosting a catalog this size costs money, so ads and optional tips help keep the lights on. Ads never unlock the music. Tips never buy the rights.

I also want to be explicit about what this domain is not. It is not a crypto landing page. It is not a list of someone else’s blog posts with my logo on top. It is not an empty shell waiting for a crawler to imagine content that is not here. The sentences on this page, the words in the vault, and the pages behind every link in the footer were written for justinhelmer.ca. If you are looking for unique, human, on-domain text, you should find it without leaving.

How the music actually sounds

I work in experimental hip-hop and electronic texture. Verses sit next to long instrumental beds. Some pieces are short and punchy; others are closer to a late-night radio bed than a radio single. I do not chase playlist placement as the reason a song exists. I chase a feeling I can still stand behind when I hear it six months later.

The catalog is large because the practice is daily: songs, instrumentals, sketches, and full projects. The public player holds the streamable share of it with no account and no queue cap. Spotify and YouTube Music carry a subset of the same artist identity if you already live in those apps, and the two store links below are for people who want the catalog where they already listen.

Featured artists and third-party samples, when they appear, are credited. I do not grant rights I do not hold. If a credit is on a track, that person’s share is theirs.

Three doors: play, read, look it up

This page is deliberately small. It is the name on the door, not a second copy of the catalog. If you want to hear the music, the player is at justinhelmer.ca/listen.html: search, queue, radio, favorites, and an installable shell, with no account. If you want the words, the lyric vault holds them with a search and a mini player for mapped streams. If you are writing about the work, the press kit has a short bio, a long bio, the facts that do not change, and the usage line.

If you want the catalog context instead — how records get made, where the stores fit, why the masters stay offline — the music page is the long answer. The about page covers the practice and the three names. Whoever you are, one of those doors is the right one, and the cards below are the shortest route to it.

Two official smart links. Justin Helmer is the name. Excavationpro is the recording project. Use both if you want the catalog where you already listen. Neither link hides a subscription: a store is a store, and the free player stays free either way.

Spotify YouTube Music Audius

excavationpro.ca — the artist house

That domain is the public home for how the catalog is made, what you may not do with the files, and the essays. This domain is the name; that one is the workshop copy. The writing there is mine and it is worth reading if you want the reasoning behind a free catalog.

LYGO · agents

LYGO Console and the agent work beside the music

LYGO is the agent stack I publish beside the music. Public rooms take your own API key in the browser. The local Console runs full GGUF models on a machine you own. SkillHub is the map to both. Nothing here replaces the catalog or the lyric vault — it is the other half of the work, and it is documented in plain language rather than teased as a mystery.

Start at chatagent.ca. Console installers live on SkillHub and GitHub. The portal never ships vaults or steward files.

Other rooms I maintain

These are pages I actually run, not a dump of other people’s blogs.

FAQ

Do I need an account to listen?

No. The free player starts without a login and there is no queue cap. Favorites and position are stored in your own browser, not on a server I run.

Can I use a track in a YouTube video or a paid product?

Not by default. Personal listening is covered. Commercial sync, ads, games, and re-sales need a written license from me. See Terms for the exact line.

Is this site only a pointer to other websites?

No. The lyrics, the about page, the music page, the press kit, and the terms live here. Other domains host players and tools because audio files and model weights are large. The writing that explains the work belongs on justinhelmer.ca.

Where do the masters live?

Offline, on drives I own. Nothing you can stream from this domain is a master file. That is the practical reason free listening can exist without giving the catalog away.

Does this page earn anything?

Ads and voluntary tips cover hosting and encoding. They do not unlock music, and they never buy rights. If you would rather not see ads, the music still plays.
